How Are We In HIS Image?

  Romans chapter 3 verses 10-18       ( re: Humanity's 100% SIN condition )

10:  As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one:

11:  There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

12:  They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable, there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

13:  Their throat is an open sepulcre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

14:  Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

15:  Their feet are swift to shed blood:

16:  Destruction and misery are in their ways:

17:  And the way of peace have they not known:

18:  There is no fear of God before their eyes.

  Matthew chapter 10 verse 32      ( Jesus speaks )

32:  Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

  Matthew chapter 3 verses 16-18                 ( often referred to as 'The Little Gospel' )

16:  "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life."
17:  "For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved."
18:  "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not, is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

  You may have asked or heard it asked by others:        "WHAT IS  FAITH?"  Now here is a definition from God's Word KJV-

As Jesus spoke in John chapter 20 verse 29

29:  Jesus saith unto him [Thomas],  "Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed, blessed are they who have not seen, and yet believe."

NOTE: In Old Testament times there were many who believed in the COMING of the TRUE Messiah and were saved before the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Read Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53 and you  will see Jesus and the method by which he was crucified and took upon Himself the penalty for yours and my sin crimes against the righteousness of a Holy God. Psalm 22 was written 1,020 years before that method of execution was invented. We are born knowing how to do evil, it is the parents obligation to teach only what is good. Are we?

QUESTION: Was the coming of the Messiah meant to defeat the physical enemies- cities and nations and races? Or, has the enemy of all human-kind been mis-identified by so many peoples around the world? The enemy is SIN of which Satan or Lucifer is the father and author. Hell was made for him... but of course... we have gone quite astray - our flesh is full of corruption ( sin ) and we NEED our Messiah our Saviour who PREVAILED against the gates of hell for US.    1Corinthians 7:23

23:  Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

NOTE: It would seem there is a decision to be made ( but more on that later ).  But, first, I would like to verify for anyone who may need to know... the TRIUNE being of the ONE TRUE and LIVING GOD. In Genesis God says He created us in His image. Next we will see as did many on that ONE day, the TRINITY- here is Matthew chapter 3 verses 16-17- Jesus' baptism was watched by many who were with John on the bank...

16:  And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him:

17:  And lo a voice from heaven saying, "This is my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

ADDENDUM TO MY NOTE: And as all there saw, they were witness to the sight and sound of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Now you might ask... how can we be in His image? Read on...

1Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 23

23:  (Paul was speaking to believers) "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless, be preserved unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ".

By-the-way... The forth word in the first sentence of Genesis is in English 'GOD' but in the ancient Hebrew
it is ELOHEIM which by definition is God and is a SINGULAR as well as a PLURAL word meaning ONE and THREE.
THEREFORE ONE GOD: FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT and we are in His image as:
spirit, soul and body.

  QUESTION:     yes, we all have that question to answer but perhaps we don't all know at the same time just what it is or how to ask it of WHOM?

23:  For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

30:  "..... .. sirs, what must I do to be saved?"  ( sounds like THE question...)

31:  And they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

NOTE: "... and thy house." means that whatever you show that you are when at home is how your family will emulate... hmmm how profound!!

8:  For by grace are ye saved through faith and not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God:

9:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.  

( humanity does like to boast... touting how well we do any thing...)
        ( or is that what is now taught and called SELF esteem?  Isn't it true in the REAL human SELF we wish to be better than anyone else? Isn't that what we call COMPETITION? )   ( What happened to think of others, give to others, don't be hurtful to others and use good manners? Competition is good in a respectful setting but SELF is not a respectful being. Not at all!! )

NOTE:  Before FAITH humanity was under the LAW of God and is referred to as our SCHOOLMASTER in the New Testament. So we will give a conclusion to our presentation of Godly Salvation through His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ... and the reference is-

23:  But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

24:  Wherefore the law was our SCHOOLMASTER to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25:  But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a SCHOOLMASTER.

26:  For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

27:  For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

28:  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

29:  And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Our Triune God ( Father, Son and Holy Spirit ) and our triune nature ( spirit, soul and body )

7:  Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return to God who gave it.

NOTE:  Well, we've come a long way on this page. The body is the dust and our spirit is the life God gives us to live a certain number of years on the pretty blue globe but isn't something missing here? Where does the soul go? WHAT is the soul? I happily say the soul is YOU!  And therefore, after having read this little bit of God's Word presented here, He pleads with YOU, the soul, to prefer to be with Him. So, as in Item #5  1Corinthians 7:23, ... "ye are bought with a price..." and Jesus Christ paid that price and as with any purchase, to claim that gift, give our Lord Jesus His receipt...

I prayed this prayer many years ago. I can not claim to know all, I can not claim to have attained perfection, I can not change me for the better without Jesus Christ, but after I called on Him to forgive my sinful self, and asked Him into my life, I found out what happiness really is.... 1Timothy chapter 1 verse 7

7:  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

God, you created everything, you are a righteous God, and I can never deserve or earn the right to be with you in Heaven. I am a sinner, lost and asking your forgiveness for all my sin. I need to be covered by the shed blood of your only begotten Son Jesus Christ. I ask you to come into my heart and save my soul. I know you are now within me because you have promised and I will go tell all my family and friends publicly what you have done for me just now. Thank you God for giving to me the right to call you Father throughout all eternity.  I give you all the Praise and Glory Father in Jesus Name and for His love sake. A-Men.
